The 1982 Israel-born bassoonist Mor Biron has been a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2007 and a member of the Ensemble Berlin since 2009. He spent his studies at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance and at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin with Klaus Thunemann and Volker Tessmann. Mor Biron gained experience in other top orchestras even before his appointment to the Berliner Philharmoniker. So he played under Claudio Abbado in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, was a scholarship holder of the Karajan Academy, in season 2006 / 07 solo bassoonist at the Orquesta Del Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia and 2000 member in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim, the invited 2005 as a soloist to perform with the same orchestra as a soloist. Mor Biron was also successful in numerous competitions, so he won the 1. Prize at the Aviv Competition in Tel Aviv and was a scholarship holder of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. With his versatility, Mor devoted himself intensively to chamber music at an early age and will give new impulses to the Ensemble Berlin through his unique musicality.
